It is yellow o’clock.

Yellow has always been known as the colour that does not do it for you, since it doesn’t work with pale skins or blondes. The designers which showcased their garments for the Spring 2017 runway shows, just showed us wrong! Yellow has been seen on the runways from all over. The biggest summer hit is yellow! And I am sooo excited. I used to hate yellow and thought that it made me look dull and ugly, but I am so ready to jump into a yellow dress or jumpsuit. Read further to find out why….

The colour yellow has popped up on Tibi Spring 2017 Ready-to-Wear Fashion Show, Alexis Mabille RTW Spring 2017 and Delpozo Spring/Summer 2017 Resort fashion show. The colour yellow is eye catching and vibrant in these runway shows. These garments are dipped in a summer feel and are ready for a sunshine adventure this summer!

Not all of the designers felt that they want to use the vibrant, bright, pooping yellow and decided to take the pigment a little bit down and in the following shows a muted shade of yellow is seen in the dresses which to me, gives the garment a fairytale like look and feel: Erdem Spring 2017 Ready-to-Wear Fashion Show Rochas Spring/Summer 2017 Ready-To-Wear and Simone Rocha London Spring/Summer 2017 Ready-To-Wear

And if the yellow look all over, still doesn’t do it for you, then how about a splash of colour here and there. Dries Van Noten Spring 2017 Ready-to-Wear Fashion Show’s garment included a very artistic pattern with splashes of yellow. And to all the yellow lovers out there, this yellow colour trend has gone so far into the future, that it is even part of Istituto Marangoni London Spring/Summer 2018 Ready To Wear’s fashion show for trends during 2018.

So let me tell you, from now until spring 2018, we will be seeing a lot of yellow, so you have to start loving it! And what is there not to love about the sun, sunflowers, custard, pineapple, butter or even a banana.

So what do you think, YAY(are you helllooooo for yelow)

or NAY (are you mellow for yellow)?
